You could try a eheim 350 surface skim only needs to be on for 5 minutes or so.

Greenfinger, how long before you can trim as is there a settling in period for the plants and if you was to cut them too soon would it affect them, was going to trim the top of the baby tears too as I heard this can help and get them thicker and spread more.

Done my second water change as of today. Noticed a few bits of hair algae on the baby tear drops, kept back Leds on today without the front ones on over above the baby tears, need to look at how to combat it before it gets a hold.
