It will gaze alage on stone or woods. mine only eat green alage on driftwood, doesn't touch hair alage. give it a few days to settle in, give it some cave hiding place, after it settles in, it will look for alage by its nature instinct. great fun to watch gazing the alage.

Have tried Limnophila Aromatica, its a more light demanding plant to keep it red, put it in more light place..

propogator: a glourified flower pot with acylic lid. mine is of special construction, with themstat controlling temperatature at 22C and a humidifier runs for 10mins every 2 hours.

Buy a propogator, and try to plant in emmersed state first, this is one of the easist plant to grow in emersed state. once the sterm gets strong and well rooted, change it to submerged state become much easier. this plant grow like weed in my tank.

Better get an aquarium with lid, I had serveal siamese alage eaters and amaon shrimps jumping out and died when trying different Co2 and dosing. they are jumpers when coming to water parameter changes.

For nano tank, you may get away by using Co2 tablets and Carbon liquid. this will increase your choice of plants. But I am sure as soon as you start dosing liquid cab. the next thing you will do is to get a co2 set. Have fun... Now is so much better than olden days....

UG requires high N ferts. Wha's your nitrate level? seems you are no fish load, probably with too low N and Phos. Try to use tropica specialised ferts instead to get these two. Also Do you trun CO2? UG will melt from Tissue plant to submerged, but CO2 helps a lot.
