not an expert but you added some fish? then the deaths started within a few days? if it was me i would be looking at the filter bacteria not adjusting to the load then once fish start dying the over load on the bacteria keeps climbing just a thought im sure the experts will help you with good...
i would go on the bidka site and seek help their ! it sounds like worms but i would check with the experts dedicated to discus keeping before starting any treatment
yes there was an earlier post where mr barr's project was mentioned but this is a finished project im lead to believe the reaction times are far faster than the drop checkers lol
hi native dude welcome to the forum :) im not an expert (and im sure they will reply ) but i believe limestone is not an ideal material for aquarium use i would hold off setting up till you get some reply s lol
make sure you release the fe handle ! to ensure fe is gas tight and undo fe i dont do any thing else except i have an isolation valve just after my bubble counter to ensure no back feed of aquarium water witch i turn off and on again when new fe is fitted dont know if this is best practice but...
or use a themal shower mixer ? on my 300 ltr i do 50 per cent water changes using cold water via a hma filter it drops the temp 2 to 3 degs and my discus / plants seem happy enough i do have 400 watts of heater in the tank that brings the temp up within an hour or so :)

if hes in tap water and your not decolrinating it hes in big trouble and the tank will not cycle water changes will make it worse since you will keep adding cloromines
yes they all work the thyrotropic ones are a bit easier to use and leave less white residue
sods law cant find my bottle of gorilla glue but its a brown liquid that foams slightly on setting lol
i use gorilla glue or aquarium safe silicone sealant ( no anti bacterial additives ). gorilla glue has been declared safe by the manufacturers.
if you are gluing moses or plants then i use super glue the thick kind
well i guess they could though mine never have (never seen dead ones around the tank ) if you have substrate i think it more likely its burrowed into that lol
i make it around 3.93 watts per us gall ( i think us galls are the norm ) mind you risk an argument using watts per gall on here im sure someone will start to mutter par readings before long:rolleyes:

hi the white plastic thing is a push fit connector for your co2 feed tube . dont know which bubble counter you are talking about but an inline one would go around that point lol :)
yes looks like silver birch to me ( betula pendula i think ) not sure how safe it is with bark attached its alsoa wood that rots quick but im sure some one will know :)
