Due to the layout of my cabinet I want to connect my CEG CO2 reactor to the inlet side of my Eheim external filter rather than the outlet side.
Is there any detrimental effect of doing this, is it less effective at "holding" the CO2 in the water?
Just purchased my first bottle of Seachem Safe and it smells rank.

I know it is the general practice to pleace the Co2 solenoid beteen the regulator and needle valve, but is ther any reason or problem with fitting it after the needle valve (on the low pressure side) and fitting the needle valve directly to the regulator?
My current CO2 soleniod is fitten between my regulator and needle valve.
Is this the recommend location, or can the solenoid be fitted after the needle valve.
The reason I ask is because the replacement solenoid comes with hose tails and I am not sure it will have the same screw fitting to fit...
