Yes, BUT, all those example are about gazeous CO2.... I cannot see water with dissolve CO2 in it attacking plastic... Otherwise we'd all have problems with our filter canisters...

I'd assume so, using airline is bad, because CO2 messes with it, but pure CO2.... Dissolve CO2 is not a problem, otherwise your pipes would be damage wherever you inject... Maybe others can confirm (or not)

What do you mean damage the pump? As long as it's dissolve, I can't see why it would be risky....

Plants are in! WAsn't too happy with the rock so completely changed the hardscape for wood instead. Bear with me, the rocks are just here so that the wood does not float :) What do you guys think?

I used Perlon to remove the silicone stuff that was still on the glass. Just a small ball and then scrub in a rotation movment (does that make any sense?)

WEll that sounds bad... Are the bubbles regular or is it like one big "pshittt" and nothing for a minute? If regular, all I can see is a leak somewhere..... maybe try with different hoses.... EDIT: TBH if it's new, just send it back or have it replaced.... I wouldn't even try to fix it...

Me again, I've check a little bit on google, and apparently, this can be cause by a "leak" in the intake hose. Maybe it's sucking air from there. Some guys advise to try and submerge as much hose as you can to see if it still happens. All i can see is checking the tubes and see where the...

Well, who doesn't like pink floyd? It makes the aquatic plants healthier! :) As for your filter, I have the same problem with mine (JBL e901). But it usually sort itself out after a couple of hours of bubbling. I'd just be patient.

I've got a JBL e901 on a rio 125. No complains at all. Easy to service, quiet, and it seems to do the job efficiently.

OMG! Nitrites got down last night!!!! Can't wait to test again tonight.... We'll be adding more plants quickly, just waiting for the paycheck... :) On the down side, I think I have an algae bloom of some sort, the rock is now greenish.... :/

Nope, what you see is the wall... :) It's going to stay as it is, no wall at the back just plenty of plants to hide the wall.

Here's an update! Small yeah, I know. About 6-7 water changes today to bring nitrite low enough. Some plants in for about a week now!

You guys made me curious. Here's an interesting reading about water parameters. Haven't digested it all but still, I found it pretty interesting especially the part where it says that water "hardness" or "softness" is actually measured by GH and not KH... Oh well... need to learn more I...

Don't know if that is till of interest to anyone, but for some reason, I noticed that the surface film in my tank completely vanished once I started adding a pump at the bottom of the tank to add flow down there. Don't ask me why, but it worked for me!

I have to agree with you, not saying that majority is always right. But then again, how comes all you can read everywhere says, you have to have soft water for this and this fidh and hard water for this one... I'm confused.... So tipically all thread like: love rams ,hmmm hard water | UK...

Well, I'm trying to stay there as much as possible. Plants will be south american (except a few anubias maybe) and fishes will be as well I guess. Unless, as I said, I really fall in love with anther species that really as something special.

Don't really like ember tetras, already had them and cardnals as well. I actually found that they didn't school that much either... The more i look at Nannostomus Marginatus the more I like it.... I think we're onto a winner here.... Unless someone's got something else...
