Requesting help with photos - foreground always overexposed.

Hi Tom, I am not very advanced in photo skills but I will give my best to explain my point of view. If anybody else has something to add, please, do so. So, I am using Nikon D5200 DX (which is not full frame) camera and maximum focal length I've used for taking photos of the tank was 35mm DX...

Requesting help with photos - foreground always overexposed.

    Cedar roots

Five weeks has passed, tank is going great. I'm pleasantly surprised with the JBL PlantSoil, with the regular changes of water and fertilizing with only micro nutrients plants are flourishing... Few details from the tank: Marsilea hirsuta Hygrophila pinnatifida

    Cedar roots

Thx guys! This scape is gonna be a slow burner, Cryptocoryna parva has its own paste...but that also means easy maitence and longer life. Hopefully in 3-4 months it will be there where I want it to be. I am not in the hurry... ;)

Hello guys, Haven't posted for quite some while, but with a good reason – got a beautiful baby girl this July. Now, her beeing 4 months old and with other kid, almost 3, it gives their „old man“ time to get his hand wet and start a new project. After UKAPS Aquascape challenge I become quite...

Requesting help with photos - foreground always overexposed.

You can do a few things: Go on exposure compensation and step it down untill you are pleased. You can also adjust a white balance in your camera, or just shoot a bit underexposed photo in RAW format and then tweek it in photoshop (shadows, blacks, whites, white ballance etc...) For the dslr...

Going Dutch by the book - tank sponsored by Tropica

Hi Pedro. From my experience in duch scape I think that initial plan is irrelevant after first month or so because this kind of arragement demands more than knowlege of growing individual plants. Some plant speaces will proliferate and some will not, also goes with the coulor and general...

Aqua at pet shop - layout no.3 - the end

Hi Alexander, I really like you aquascape, really healthy, neat and clean. Only thing I can suggest is to get more volume in the center upper part. I suggest that you use Eleocharis vivipara on both left and right back side and form some kind of tunnel on the top. What do you think about that?

    Mirkwood

    Mirkwood

Thank you Alexander! I fully agree with you, and I'm one step ahead - there is some really cool stuf prepairing for the final photo. One of those are light spots and submergable lights, but I musn't go any further with this as the IAPLC rules are clear. ;) I'm also in dilema about right kind of...
