Ok this is strange.. so i decided to try the other ac adapter the original one, if i twist the output slightly in a specific way the light comes on and works as required. It has to be manipulated a certain way for it to get any power. this does not explain why my new one off amazon does not work...
Thanks for this, i've just tried it and unfortuently it does not work. It works with the controller, but the light does not come on. My guess is the light has broken, this is now my 3rd Chihiros 901.... anyone else having similar problems?
Hi, my ac/dc adapter has started playing up. Can anyone please point me in the right direction to get a 3rd party replacement from the uk?
It says INPUT AC100 - 240v 2.5A 50-60hZ
Output 24v 5a
Crap with this sort of thing!
The water temp is 23c, yes i bought them off Hogan from the forum.
The BBA has been in the tank for years, in a low tech environment. I'll crank up the co2 a bit more and see where we get to.
After a lengthy spell away from the hobby I recently bought the necessary equipment to start a planted tank again. I'm having a bit of an issue with BBA, which I'm spot dosing daily and just purchased two SAE.
But my main issue is the plants I have are not thriving, they are browning...
After a long absence in the hobby i am making a come back to high tech, i have kept my tank low tech with minimal plants but i miss the lush greens and moss growth.
Couple of questions.
1) What's the best approach from going low tech to high, especially as i have fauna in the tank...
been some time since i was last here, im looking to rescape my tank but having no high tech gear anymore i need suggestions for plants suitable with no co2 and no high light (standard LED only)
Has anyone encountered any issues with these lights? I've had two now which have both failed after a couple of months. Last one was replaced but now this new ones gone.. Looking at the led glass casing it almost looks as tho it's cracked near the screws that hold the led glass casing in...
Just spend the afternoon at Alastair's, the pictures on the journal don't do the tank justice. Its absolutely huge, i couldn't believe it when i walked in the back room its like one of Amanos massive tanks.
Everything in the tank is perfect, wood placement, rocks you name it. Its probably the...
Not sure on dimensions but it's not big. I don't use ADA so can't comment. It's apparently down to poor plant health but my plants have been fine for the last year, so I don't think it's that. Could just be a build up of nutrients, co2 and anything else.
I actually stopped dosing on purpose as I didn't notice any difference in plant health for about 3-4 weeks.
But I didn't know the roots were being damaged because of this, I dose 6 squirts of macro and micro on alternate days bar 1 day prior to water changing day. I used to use dry ferts but...
Couple of update pics, everything growing well not had any algae apart from GSA. Unfortunately the ebi gold has leaked into the gravel thanks to my corys, the substrate dividers have helped as much as they could!
Think ill give it a little longer mate and see how it fairs. Just did a cut last night so hopefully get some more compact growth. In the meantime i got 2 of these lovley buggers :)
