    chihiros wrgb2 45cm. par data.

It's a good starting point but I don't think the 30% increase in wattage translates into 30% increase in par data otherwise you'd be able to work out the par data from the data they've given for their other light units.

Ahhh I see, I'm not using the stock light that comes with the superfish home, I'm using a Chihiros C2 RGB light unit. Is this safe?

To be fair, my floor is wonky and I've got a 4ft aquarium that's never been level. It's been there for nearly 5 years without issue. I can tell it's not level because the water is slightly higher at the back compared to the front but if I had known that at setup I probably would have attempted...

Oh sorry I didn't update the thread. These things do glide along the glass and hardscape but after observation I'm fairly confident they aren't Planaria. It appears I do have detritus worms in addition to this but their numbers have been dwindling after a lot of substrate vacuuming and I...

    Libba's 60P

Hey Erwin, tbh I don't know what my nitrates are. The test is red no matter when and red is high 😅 My H'Ra is green with a slight orange underneath and the blood red is slightly pink. It should be authentic Blood Red as it came with an EU plant passport different from the H'Ra.

    Libba's 60P

Interesting! I think I'll try that once my setup is nice and healthy, it's still a bit too fragile for me to attempt it yet.

This is an interesting read in regards to the Purigen. I only used it for the first time in the last month and honestly... I haven't noticed any difference. Can you ever completely eradicate algae?

I'm by no means an expert but I highly doubt it. Algae spores are in the air even. You'd have to create laboratory conditions and even though it might not be visible they are still there, conditions are just not favourable to proliferate.

Very interesting read Darrel, thanks! Let's say you didn't want to replace your biological media (assuming you've already bought it and it's established), could you replace your 'mechanical' filtration i.e. sponges with the scrubbers to get a similar function?
