I was using the needle valve.
I've had the regulator replaced now and its working fine so seems to have been a problem with that :)
Cheers for the replies guys :D
I'm injecting it direct into the inlet of the filter which was fine before I changed the filter so no diffuser.
I've taken the solenoid and bubble counter out of the equation too by just having a short tube going to a glass of water. Same thing happens so its nothing to do with back pressure...
My CO2 ran out so I went and got a refil and was given a replacement bottle.
I've now come home and placed the reg on the new bottle, connected it all up but I cannot obtain a steady flow of bubbles.
I set them at 1 bps but 2 mins later its either stopped or it closer to 5 bps. When it stops I...
I know they are well aware people use FE's and I'm sure that does happen at the UKaps meets and I may be wrong here but I wouldn't have thought all meets happen at Aquatic suppliers??
I'm just saying that after all the effort Mark and Jim are putting into the day to be selling alternate...
Cheers and yeah is a Juwel Back to Nature background. Just has a bit of algae on it at the moment which I would like to sort out.
Thanks for the comment and no problem at all.
Main carpeting is hair grass (lilaeopsis brasiliensis) and Riccia (Riccia fluitans)
To the right on the bog wood is...
My tank is still maturing but I thought I would get some of pics of my tank up since I keep going into the green machine but Mark and Jim haven't seen it yet lol.
CAVES
And my still cloudy, few days old Dwarf puffer tank
Has or does anyone pump CO2 5 metres away from the bottle?
I have CO2 connected to my main tank and was just wondering how feasible it is to pump the CO2 5 metres away into my second tank?
Thanks
Pete
I will get a pic of my new (ish) planted tank soon. Little bit of algae to sort out first and need the hair grass and Rica to spread a little bit.
Got an RO unit this morning too as my tap water was poor so can't wait to get that in the tank :D

what size bottle and system do you have?
It could be that you have a faulty bottle which has been leaking or that you haven't tightened the regulator onto it enough again causing leaking.
Cheers for such a quick reply. I have looked at the Bristlenose (Ancistrus) but they can grow to 15cm (from thinkfish) which is pretty much the size of the pleco I am getting rid of now.
For general algae eating I have gone for 6 Siamensis (Flying Fox) which I will be hopefully doubling along...
Hi there.
I am getting rid of my sailfin pleco because I've recently gone for a planted tank and the pleco which is about 6" long now is making a bit of a mess. What I want to know is what kind of pleco stays quite small and wont eat my plants.
Thanks
Pete
