Hi I have ajuwel rio 125 with a 500lph external canister filter and 600lph juwel filter box. As I feel I need more flow Ive been looking for a powerhead. Would adding a 4500lpg tunze nanostream 6045 be too much? or am i betetr at looking at something 3000lph and under? cheers

I decided to go for the second one. The reason is I only had 18w on my old light and the compact flourescents always broke (I have had 2) so im trying t5s and it is only 2w lower, which im not bothered over because I used to cut back a lot of plants over a 1-2 week basis with 18w.

Thaanks for the comments I like the naturesoil, it looks good, perfect for my corys and the size is perfect. I was expecting it to be a bit darker, but its no problem as it currently is and it didnt cloud which was awesome.

Its naturesoil by Oli Knotts, the fine version I mixed it would my previous substrates and then added some on top.

Yeh, only my biggest bit is still floating everything else has fully sunk. I jsut need to clean them up with the hosepipe, and take of some of the moss and its ready to use after I come home from holiday :D

Is there any other substreate that cna be used as a replacement for it that is not too expensive? I'm using JBL aquabasis+ and the aqua soil was going to go on top of it, if I were to use the Oliver Knotts substrate for a topping substrate, how big a bag will be needed?

I've heard ADA aqua soil has an ammonia spike when intorduced to an aquarium, would it be ok adding this to an established aquarium with fully established media or is it too risky? thanks

Well I think he probably has a rio 400 (400l) judging by the title lol But the question is, is your aquarium new or old? The old models have t8 lighting, in which case, you may not need co2, whereas the new models have new high lite t5s, in which case, co2 is probably needed...

Hi Whilst I was a member of a marine forum, people used to get these lights and sometimes got errors and there were only good comments about the communication with the sellers so, if I were you, I wouldn't worry :) They look nice lights! If only they did a 30cm one with pc :(

Unfortunately the nearest Maidenhead Aquatics is about 2hrs away. I'll have to try and look for the special torx scre drivers on ebay or look into buying a new light unit if i can find one cheap. Currently a 20 watt halogen desk lamp is over tha tank, the lighting is rubbish and it looks so...

On my 40l, my supafish 18w light has blown. I don't knwo if its the unit, but, I can't find any replacement bulbs or light units, and I really don't want to spend a lot of money on some arcadia arc lights. Can anyone help? The tubes are 18 watt PL tubes so I am told.
