Just seen this tank Zig, and WOOOWWWWWWWEEEEE............ No wonder you ranked 15th, I definitely think you improved on the 1st version. Absolutely stunning tank, can't say enough good things about it....SUPERB 8)
I think with the massive rise in quality scapes that i've seen on this site since being a member we can easily double the amount for next year.
Watch-out Far East......we are coming
I don't suppose you have to come near Wolverhampton do you? If so i would deffo be up for it :D
And being that it's my B-day on the 20th i could treat myself to a few things :P
Hi Lisa,
Dont quite know how i missed this thread but 'Blimey' you've had some seriously bad luck :(
Glad to hear things are a bit more PEACHY now though and It's superb how many people have offered their help 8)
Regards
Wayne
Yeah, the substrate is a bit of a quandary for me really coz Ive already got 60lb of eco-complete in another set-up and roughly 80lb of pea gravel with an under-layer of tetra plant substrate in a bog standard trop community set-up so I'm unsure whether i can justify the extra cost for the AS...
It will be more i think, EX1200=1200lph+405=1300lph=2500. But in reality it would be considerably less after filling with media, hopefully around 1800-2000lph.
Thanks for the feedback guys. AS it is then, I've always wanted to try it anyway :D
Do you think there would be to much turbulence if i ran the EX1200 and the 405 together?
nice one, didn't think about that. So you think I'd be better off with just the eco-complete and AS then.
I've already got the Eco-complete set-up in another tank so it's already well used by now.
Hi peeps,
Just want peoples opinions on my final wanted list for my new project if thats ok.
180ltr bow fronted tank, Substrate: Tropica base layer, Eco-complete for raised areas capped off with AS amazonia II.
Lights: 3x39w luminare( hopefully, still bidding on it)Tubes: Osram 880...
The amazonia II is aimed at tanks with harder water, apparently origional amazonia soil is prone to go cloudy in alkaline water hence the new one.
As far as I'm aware the power sands help create a bigger bacteria and nutrient store in the substrate when used with AS.
Someone please correct me if...
