The show was great :) I didn't take too many photos, but I came home with a massive bag full of crypts, and some gorgeous black crystal shrimp from Chris Lukaup. Thanks again, Sam, for doing all the driving! I think we were all suitably knackered by the time we got back to the UK!

Hah, me too! Ryan Air state that the transfer fee is £100... But also I've read that the transfer fee can be much lower than that if you ring them.

Booked my tickets just now :) Not sure where to stay but I'll figure something out...

Scaping contest? You get 5 or 10 minutes to do hardscape. It then get's photographed and the next person has a go and so on. Then do a mini ballot at the end to decide the winner?

Good point. I've just thrown together this google map. Not sure if it'll work for everyone though, but follow this link and add your self to the map with a note of your username here. DON'T pinpoint your exact location, just the general vicinity of where you live.

Also, it should be said that your event could be walking in the local countryside exploring your local rivers and streams with cameras. Getting out there with a group of people and seeking inspiration :) Like I say, we should try to make 2011 the year of the mini-meet!

Good advice Matt :) I've enjoyed the several that I've been to immensely :) Visiting other people's LFS's is voyage of discovery! Non of my local places have much (except one place that has interesting fish usually) so I have to travel if I want anything decent.

Also, I think this is a great way to meet aquascapers in your local area :)

I must be one of the lucky ones - I got in at 3:30am and woke up at 11am :D I had a fantastic weekend and I'm completely knackered! Very hard work over the weekend, running around with crates of sand, buckets of water, moving hardscape about, carrying things too and from the minibus etc etc...

Both shoulders are stiff this morning! And I've got a sweet looking bruise coming out on my knee which doesn't hurt (yet). Glad I've not got a tank to carry with me! Hope I'm not too much of a lemon this weekend :lol:

Been home for a while, all is pretty much fine. Just got to chew on Paracetamol and Ibuprofen for the next few days and rest up a bit. Dan/John... I'll let you know in the morning what I'm doing. Fingers crossed I haven't seized up over night!

Sitting at an nhs walk in centre. just been assessed and given paraceromol before being seen by a doc. Hopefully I'll still be good, but I think it depends on my leg. pretty hard to move about on it right now.

Ok folks, I'm staying at the Mercure and have a room buddy sorted out to share the cost of the room (thanks Lisa!) A twin room is approx £56 per night, and includes breakfast, so £23 each per night! (A double room is priced the same). I'd suggest anyone else wanting to stay at the Mercure...

Managed to tidy up the aweful picture of George's scape that I took. Picture doesn't do it justice to be honest! I've had to heavily photochop to sort out dodgy perspective and exposure, so apologies in advance ;)
