Like many on here I have a noisy burping Biomaster that is just frustrating. I've taken it all apart, cleaned it thoroughly and reassembled, which helped but didn't solve the issue.

However, I have since noticed that before the stereotypical belch from the filter outlet you can clearly hear air getting in somewhere! Aside of the hoses, the only places this could be would be the main seal, the removable portion of the inlet/outlet and the seal into the pre-filter?

Before I go spend £20+ on a set of new seals, is there anything fish/shrimp safe I could try to spread on the seals to improve them? I'm hesitant to use the usual o-ring lubricants for obvious reasons without checking as I'd choose a noisy filter over 40 dead fish
