New member with new tank

Setting up a tank for my daughter - 120l low budget, low tech.

Loads of great info on this forum for planted tanks so I signed up. Hopefully I can contribute some info, even if it's just experience of what not to do.

Forgot to say I am in East Anglia so pretty hard tap water. I have had fish before, about 10 years ago, but only lightly planted. My daughter currently has a 20l nano tank with shrimp only.
