Fascinated from York

Hi to all from York, and someone who hasn't had an aquarium before.
One week in, and nothing has died yet!
Fluval flex 57 and a few shrimp. No co2 or tank upgrades.
Anything I'm obviously doing wrong? Any problems ahead?

Nope can see nothing wrong. Don't remove the Slime growing on the wood, the shrimp will happily eat that.

The slime totally freaked me out until I read a bunch of posts saying it's normal! The internet makes hobbies so much easier!
