Anyone know if it would be possible to grow a carpet of Monte Carlo in my 29 gallon no co2 tank? I dose Nilocg thrive 3 times a week for my rrf, java fern and Anubis. I have a Chihiros rgb 60 set at 50% now and am slowly raising to get the rrf red. Was just wondering if it was realistic to grow MC since I saw some at my lfs the other day. I only have gravel also. Thanks for any help.

Hi light is essential for mc though I do know it has been done in a low tech tank
Thanks. With high light and no co2 how do you keep algae at bay? I don’t plan on dosing co2.

Ok t
I done it in previous tank using play sand as substrate, dual twin t5 unit, liquid Co2 and root tabs. Grew like weeds
ok thanks. Yeah I have a Chihiros rgb 60 so hope that can get bright enough to grow a carpet without algae problems!
