Reducing vibration on wooden floors

For large air pumps (talking filter size) a couple of inches of foam under them with a layer of wood between the foam and pump works well. The foam dampens the vibration and the wood give a sturdy surface for the pump to sit on. You might need quite stiff foam or a thinner layer for a heavy filter but it should work.

Hi,

When I had my marine tank and was running large pumps I used to use anti vibration matting, its like a foam mat and this used to reduce the vibration.
