I've been keeping aquariums for over 10 years now mainly low tech community and Malawi Mbuna for the past 5 years. Just stepping into the world of planted tanks a little deeper and have found this forum to be an invaluable resource of reliable information.
I have a 100 gallon aquarium just about to set up. Specs as follows, subject to change
48x24x24 aquarium.
Fluval fx6
Fluval 306 , may find this is not required.
Co2 via fire extinguisher
Aps water circulation pump.
Koralia water circulation pump.
2 x TMC 1500 led tiles with dimmers, adjustable for 0-100%
After research on this forum I'm leaning towards akadama as my main substrate supplemented with sphagnum peat moss and osmocote fertilisers.
A lot still needs to be worked out but I'm sure this forum is the place for it. Looking forward to this journey and learning as much as I can.
