Can anyone recommend a quiet pump to use for my eheim classic 1500xl?

Does anyone know if the reef octopus pumps can be used externally?

If the inlet and outlet both have a hose connector, than yes it can be used externaly..

Great thanks, yes I found out that the Aqua Medic DC Runner and the Reef Octopus Pumps can be run externally.

I Just need to decide if I want to buy a pump or buy a Pro 3 2060 Filter.
