Oase biomaster 350 200w heater 32gallon tank?

hi, my 200w in filter heater is struggling to keep my 120 litre tank at 24 when what I need is 27-28. Room temp is 16. Does this sound right ? Do I need a second heater for the winter ? Or should a 200w heater be able to handle this demand ? Are the oase in filter heaters less efficient ?

The issue is I have a blue ram and I’m worried the 23-24 temp is too cool...

It will be getting warmer next month.

Hi Jack
I would remove 50% of your filter media if its packed full if you haven't done so!
Try that and see if the temperature increases....

I’m already running with one filter basket empty but today I’m going to swap out the 45ppi intake for 30ppi intake. I’ll update with the results. I’m not sure if it’s flow or just that these heaters can’t push more than 8 degrees from room temp at this tank size, but we’ll find out!
