Hello!

I am Bobi Ciupe, and I am from ROmania. This is the first foreign forum in which I am a part of, so I am very excited to share my passion with you guys. I will tell you the story of my tank:

FIltration: Eheim 2080, Eheim 2078, Eheim 2073 filled with Seachem matrix aprox 22 litres and Seachem purigen aprox 1 liter
Light- Hand made 4*54 T5 lamp with reflectors at 50 cm above the water surface running for 7 hours a day
CO2- pressurized co2 switched on 1 hour before light starts and switched off 1 hour before light switched off (7 hours/day 2-3 bubble/second which are disolved by a hand made reactor)
Substrate- ADA Amazonia Aqua soil
Hardscape: Dragon Stone
Surface skimmer: Eheim micro skimer 350

I show you some pictures, made by a friend of mine cause i do not have a DSLR camera and i asked him to make some pictures. I didn't have time to clean the rock a little bit before, so appologies for that :)

Beautiful tank. Why would you clean the rocks? They look aged, it looks nice to me.

Thank you. i have started the setup back in january this year and i never cleaned them till now. the truth is that they are dirty :)

i have been in the hobby, except aquariums that we all have in the childhood, for about 5 years.

Wow...eheim 2080, 2078 and 2073, is there a reason using many filters with less bio load? Why didnt you go for 2080 and a circulation pump?

i do believe that filtration is the heart of the aquarium so that's why i have those filtres. yes, it's true that i have small bio load, but never forget that the most important part of NH4 in the planted aquarium comes from the melting plants, not from the fish. the plants are melting under the strong light and high temperature, so i needed big, strong filter in order to break down NH4

Welcome Bobi!
Nice to see you here! ;)

Thank you Alex, it seems to me that we are all emigrating :)

More questions..when you say 'hand made' do you mean by yourself?

I wanted some red between so much green, so i bought 50 ember tetra to have more colours in my tank. I will put some picture later, after i get back my photo camera. :)

Simple and easy on the eyes! If you want to take this tank to the next level, I would try to fill in the gaps between the stones a bit with some plants (perhaps longer hair grass? or letting the current hairgrass grow longer in those arrows?) and somehow create a bit more shadows with the stones so that the tank looks deeper.
