Hi guys, this will be my first aquarium, here in uk, after a few good years. So if i'm doing something wrong just tell me :)

The aquarium is an Eheim Aquapro, 126 L , 80x35x45 cm with:
- stock filter Eheim Aquaball 2210
- stock cover with 2×18w Sylvania for the moment, but i just bought 2x18w Osram lumilux 865 daylight today and i will change them in this week one by one.
The stand is DIY, 25mm mdf, 3 couts of primer and 3 of paint Dulux urban obsession gloss.

Substrate: Jbl Aquabasis 5L
Gravel: Jbl Manado 25L (20used)

Flora: Ludwigia Palustris Rubin, Bacopa Caroliniana, and i just get the order from aquariumgardens with Rotala Rotundifolia, Cryptocoryne Wendtii Tropica- tissue culture, Cryptocoryne Petchii, Heteranthera Zosterifolia-tissue culture, next week i will receive Limnophila aromatica (it was out of stock yesterday)

CO2 : Dennerle Bio Starter for now, after that diy.
CO2 Diffuser: Tropica CO2 Diffuser 3 in 1.

The aquarium is started on 03-07-2015.

Pictures a little bit later, now i'm going to open the parcel and put the plants in ;)

I came back with the pictures. Sorry for the cloudy water, i just finish with the planting

Tomorrow i will start my CO2 dosing, change one tube with the new osram 865 and after a few days the second one. What do you think guys, to start fertilization with Tropica plant growth premium/specialised or Jbl Ferropol/24?

or is better to wait one more week and after that to start slowly with a small amount of fertiliser?

Thank you.

And this is how it's looking after 7 weeks

In all this time I get some new hardware:

- APS 1400EF plus external filter
- APS filter booster 1.2L
- CO2 Sodastream + HSL pro dual gauge regulator 1b/s
- JBL CO2 Permanent test
- TMC Aquagro Straight tweezers

Looks like you're doing a lot right ;)

Plants look very healthy & no signs of algae

Thank you guys. I'm happy that you like it.
From 1-2 weeks i have a small problem with some brown dust on some leafs, but i'm cleaning them with the hand and i keep them under control. I know this is normal sometimes at the end of the cycling period of new tanks.
The only thing which i want to solve now is to upgrade the light. From 2x18w t8 ....to 4x24 T5. I will need to buy 2 Arcadia controllers or one Iquatics 4x24. Or...the diy way.... But to do this, first i need to make some space for the new tubes. I will find a solution.

Now i'm waiting for my baby to come this week, so the aquarium will go on the second place :p

For the brown dust, just add in a few otocinclus, they'll happily clean this up for you ;)

Be careful with increasing lighting, right now tank looks to be a good balance of light/CO2/nutrients/little algae - if you increase light, everything can change, so be very gradual (this is where LED is so convenient, most fixtures allow dimming so you can control light intensity as well as duration)

Hi guys, i'm back after my baby birth.
After 1 week, without touching the tank, just with the ferts and that's it, the tank is looking like this.

The Heteranthera Zosterifolia is so big now and i want to cut it, but i don't know what to do after that with the rest of it. Do you know if i can change it for some Otto in a pet shop?

Or if someone want it...i'm selling it cheap, all the cutted one, from the midle to the top from the both sides...for 10£, collection only. I'm living in Ilford, if someone want it... just let me know, or send a pm.

I'm going to cut it and to replant some Ludwigia, i will come back with pictures later.

Congratulations on the baby!
- and the happy plants :)

Some shops will trade fish/plants with local aquarists ... you might call/email local shops (if email, perhaps include a link to some good photos of the plants).
For this time, I'd just trim & replant & sort contacts for the next cutting ... after 25 posts, you can see & use the ukaps Swap forum

Thank you guys.

Alto, this is what i did today. And more of that..i put 1xT5 24w Osram 865 with my new Arcadia controller 2x24-39w t5. And is working well with just one extra tube. Tommorow i will put the other one also or if i will not have time...next week, anyway i will need to go slowly with them at the beginning. For the moment i have 2xt8 18w osram 865 and 1x t5 24w osram 865.

I have one backet with heteranthera zosterifolia now. Maibe tommorow i will change it for some fish or something.

Marlus_20 to be honest when I saw your first post I thought "too much light with no CO2, looks like he is going to run into trouble" but scrolling down you proved me wrong! You handled everything like a pro and the plants look HEALTHY!

Good job!

A small refresh...:)) i just finish at this time.

Don't worry guys. Just new plants, more space and better positions for plants.
It will be hard for 1 week, after that the tank will look much better.

Now i have almost all plants that i want. I need just rotala macandra, but in the future.
List of my plants now:

First video after 1 week with my new plants.
They are starting to adapt well to my aquarium and they grow a little bit. Rotala walichii is amazing, i like it so much. Ludwigia curly is starting also to grow and show some bigger curly leaves.
Rotala bonsai have some roots and a few new leaves. This is the most sensitive plant from the new ones. Alternathera is growing well, the mini version is growing very well, nice roots and starting to have a nice red colour. The big version it was a little bit damaged with broken tops when i received it...but i planted all parts and now i have new shoots from broken ones and the other ones are starting to have strong roots and new leaves also.
Overall everything is on the good way.
I like the colour of the rotala walichii tops.

I took out the melted leaves of cryptocoryne petchii from right side.

I kept just 3 small stems of each cryptocorynes, but they already have new leaves. I think because they have more light and more space between them.

After 3 weeks from the refresh, the tank looks like this. Today I need to make the first trim...ludwigia palustris and heteranthera ;)

What do you think ?
I will need to move the A. Mini in the front and the R. Bonsai a little bit better. Otherwise is looking ok. I'm waiting for the L. Curly do grow bigger.

Hi guys. I'm back after 2 monts. I will put some pictures with the tank next days, but i have something more important :p
I think i will have some corydoras baby.

For the moment i have just the eggs. Any ideea how to take care of them ?

I changed my angel fish with 6 guppy females...all the same colour and i want to create my own line of guppy...but this will be in the next months. Now i have just 3-5 guppy babys wich are 2 days old and 1 female will give birth next days. The other ones are pregnant also but early stages. After all the females will give birth i will keep just the young females and from there i will start with the line.
