Hi I have a newly setup tank. Its only been going a week, but theMarsilea seems to be loosing its colour throughout the tank. Has anyone seen this before or know of the cause?

The pictures probably dont show the whiteness that much, but they look a little like daisies. Is this just normal `bedding in` or someything more fundamentally wrong with setup, dosing etc. Any advice much apprieciated,
Thank, Sam

Just a quick reply - the clover-shaped leaves of your Marsilea are the emmersed form. The plant has been grown out of water to date. Those leaves will die off unfortunately and the submerged leaf type will grow through. It's entirely different sadly.

Another tip - get your CO2 on a couple of hours before the lights so the levels are where you want them when the lights come on. You can turn the CO2 off an hours or so before the lights go out so the plants use up what is in the water column and you don't waste any.

Hope this helps...

Yes as above it is now becoming the underwater version.:)
