Hi.

I have a Fluval Roma 200, with two T8 30w bulbs
These bulbs

I dont have reflectors on them. Are those two bulbs providing enough light?

They are on for about 6hours a day.

But the leafs on my crypts are developing holes, anubia leafs going slightly black at their edges, echinodorus
leaves are browning and just wasting away.

Is it a lighting issue or nutrients or something else?

I dont really have an algae issue apart from some bits of elodea leaves are blackening. But glass etc is clear.

Currently have elodea, anubias, crypts, moss balls, vallis and two echinodorus. None of which have ever grown too well, but survive.

Sand substrate, with root tabs and tropica specialised fertiliser daily.

Any advice guys?

No co2 no. Maybe worth using some?
Tanks quite heavily stocked too if it makes a difference.

Well if you are really interested in growing plants then I would suggest you have a good look at the main forum headings :)
You don't necessarily need to add Co2 but it will speed up growth tenfold!
You may well discover that you light is to bright for the present circumstances your plants are living (dying) in!
Sorry not to give you a direct answer but, there are certain conditions your plants need to thrive & that info is best understood by studying their needs via the forum.
Have a good look around & perhaps you will get the bug....

Co2 i think will simplify it. If you have ro much light co2 helps if you have low light co2 still helps. It's just more important to have enough co2 on high light

Doesn't look to be a lot of light ( i din't know how big a Roma 200 is though, but generally T8 should be safe). Can you give a pic of the tank and tell us how you feed the plants? (what and how often) Do you do waterchanges, how big and how often?
