Where to buy/ make driftwood

Hello all. I am wanting to make a whole new. Tank with drift wood and all plants. And the question I have is about the driftwood. Where would I buy it if I was going to buy some on line or if I wanted to make my own how woe I go about doing that. Now I would love to find a piece of wood and make it into some drift wood. Any info into this? Thanks

I guess drift wood is a general term but traditionally it means wood that has been drifting in the sea or fresh water for some time, enough time to remove the bark, soften the lines & smooth the shape. You can do that yourself but sanding down hardwood branches & soaking them for a few months.
