Hi, I have got an internal canister filter, but it quite often makes some very loud grinding sound's and stop's working (the output is reduced to a sort of dribble, I thought it might be getting clogged, so I changed the cartridge, and cleaned the actual filter, but it made no effect, it has its own brand filter media, so I just don't know what the problem is :D If anyone could help then that would be great! I think it might have something to do with it filling up with air, because when I turn it off lot's of bubbles come out of the actual canister, but the whole thing is submerged to the guidance line, so I don't know where the air is coming from.

Why no show a photo of the filer in situ. Would be nice to know brand and model as well. Is there a snorkel valve used to enable he filter to breathe? Need more data.

Cheers,
