    Keeping Cardinals

I live in berkshire with very hard water. I currently keep cardinals and they have outlasted many other species in my tank. I dont try to alter my water in anyway to suit my aquarium. I just stick to what works with my water, luckily the cardinals have been a success as they are stunning fish...

    Using wood found in nature

There are many large oak trees near me that have been hit by lightning. There are large pieces of branch that litter the floor around the dead tree. This wood is barkless and is not rotting. Can it be used in aquascapes? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

    On the fence about MTS

I use MTS in my 60l. Heavily planted and i barely notice them in the day. For me the positives outweigh the negatives. Just another cog in my mini ecosystem Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

BBA on my A. nanas still hold even after bleach treatment

Easy carbo, excel, same thing. It should go in time. Just be patient with it. Im not a fan of bleaching stuff that is going to be added back into the tank. I know it can be done safely but i try to avoid it Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

BBA on my A. nanas still hold even after bleach treatment

Bba is a pain to remove. Just got to take the fight to it. Repetitive treatments will eventually get it Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

BBA on my A. nanas still hold even after bleach treatment

I dont think you can manually remove bba. Excel treatment is good for bba. Turn off filters so there is no water movement. Then syringe excel onto the algae. Just concentrate on small areas at a time. The algae will turn red, greenish then to a white and die off. You can treat more than once for...

    Anubia nana in trouble?

I dont know much about your lighting strength, but in my opinion 10hours of light is high. This will put a lot of 'growing strain' on the plant. Anubias' are very low light tolerant plants. Easy to grow and interesting plants when in the right conditions. Will suffer heavy algae and deficiency...

    Skellys 60P Build

Well ive kept co2 the same as before. Ive backed lighting intensity right down. Lights are suspended very high now. Ferts are EI standard mix but only 5ml macro and 5ml micro per week in a 60litre tank. One standard 50% water change every week. Another partial 30% water change midweek if...
