    Recovering from low CO2

Thanks. So a combination of manual removal, Amano shrimp, and ottos seems to be the way to go.

    Recovering from low CO2

I have been running my 300 L tank since Christmas, using EI dosing. All went well initially, but the for the last couple of months, I have been unable to get CO2 levels anywhere near right, and have had fairly massive algae bloom. It's actually not that ugly, but is in several varieties and all...

    Eheim 610T performance

Sorry, meant to reply. The answer is "I think so" - the 610t has a single unit that both the return and non-return hoses go into its pretty straightforward, don't think there is any way for it to be incorrrect.

    Best setup for sump

/waves. Nice to see you! If your planted is anything like the quality of your marine it will be splendid!

    Eheim 610T performance

Yup, many times :). I've now taken the CO2 diffuser off-line, while I have *some* noticeable flow (which I din't before), it's barely more than a trickle.

    Eheim 610T performance

Ever since I installed it (2 weeks ago), my 610T has been showing three lights: I (doh!) assumed it meant 'normal operation'. My flow seems to have dissipated almost to nothing...I *think* these lights mean either "Adjusted flowrate not possible", or "Flowrate smaller than 50%". The manual...

    Thank you, Eheim sorted it.

    ?Oxygen covering water

Raising the bar has made the film less obvious, but also means the CO2 isn't distributing as well, so less bubbles. The film is still there a bit, though. Any other options for film-clearing?

CRS and Ei Dosing (copper) ?

There are some studies (though not necessarily on 'our' shrimp): http://www.jeb.co.in/journal_issues/200607_jul06/paper_21.pdf . I don't fully understand it - greater minds than mine can no doubt comment, but I thik in this study it suggests that 50% mortality was achieved at 0.3-0.4ish ppm...

    Tank at Home

I was assuming I should wait for the cycle to happen, but I may be wrong...family would love to see some life in there!

Thanks, done that, I'll leave it 24 hours and see where we are.

    ?Oxygen covering water

Photo evidence in case my words make no sense And video (which hasn't uploaded very well - the micro bubbles are going upwards more consistently than it shows).:

    ?Oxygen covering water

Now worrying that this behaviour is so uniquely odd that noone has come across it before, which seems unlikley :)

    ?Oxygen covering water

Another probably very newb question. There are quite a lot of gas bubbles (I assume Oxygen from respiration), which are accumulating at the top of the tank by the end of each day. 2 questions: 1) Am I right that it's respiration 2) Is it OK that the bubbles accumulate at the water surface? Or is...

Fast growth - good or bad?

OK, thanks. Ill relax/ignore it :)
