I really like the individual pieces of rock and root. It's quite a symmetrical layout you've got, a bit too much for my taste. I think perhaps a smaller rock on the left back might settle it for me. Glassware looks lovely

This looks like an interesting challenge if nothing else. I do think circulation could prove an issue if you want injected CO2 but with low light plants you won't need it. Suppose the other thing is depth, and light penetrating down to the bottom. Though i would think the most interesting thing...

It's been a while! I had a real issue with several types of algae after neglecting the tank somewhat. I went on holiday, and also dropped water changes down to 50% every fortnight or so. Had to cull most of the hair grass, large areas of it were covered in BBA and it has never really thrived. I...

This looks like it's going to be a stunner. The way you've placed the rocks does look very natural and uncontrived. What substrate are you going for?

I would think they'll be OK if you make the submersion process quite gradual, rather than filling up the whole tank in one go. I love the right side of the scape, but the left side doesn't quite have the same depth - I think because the sizes of the vertical 'trunks' are more uniform

Awesome. How are the pieces of wood stuck together? I assume it is a composite of many pieces rather than found like that!

I used my wife's old pop-socks, stuffed with gravel, as sandbags to prop up the stones in my scape before then adding the substrate over the top - this helped preserve the slopes and rock positions

well I for one am very disappointed - with the thread title I expected to see a small tank with neon pink gravel, a badly painted resin shipwreck, a treasure chest spurting bubbles, and a very sad goldfish

I love magnolia trees, and the idea of using trees to memorialize occasions. We bought a magnolia grandiflora when my daughter was born, it's been in a pot since, waiting to plant outside our forever home
