I have Kessil's on my marine tank but they're a bit expensive for my tastes (like the AI ones) for a small tank like this. TMC used to do a tile for marine and for fresh/planted that weren't that expensive but build quality and reliability were an issue.
One of my marine tank has a full spectrum...
I've just setup a new aqua nano 50 (think its a 50 may be bigger can't remember exact measurements) and the little led strip light that comes with it isn't up to much for getting light down to the carpet.
Has anyone got any suggestions on a replacement light with a bit more grunt. it needs to be...
i play guitar have done since i was about 10 so 20+ years of it now. Though i'm no where near as good as I used to be just don't seem to have the time to practice these days that I once had loosing alot of muscle memory in the old fingers.
yeah I considered a pi but in the end I went for an arduino as i wanted to do it more of an embedded solution rather than computer based solution. if i'd gone for the pi I may as well have just chucked an old £5 android smartphone in as the processor+interface with a usb breakout cable on it.
I've been working on a tank controller for about 8 months now based on arduino measuring tds/ph/temp (at multiple points)/flow rate through pipe work at multiple points and also a lighting controller.
Idea being that I'd make it all easily controllable via a little 5 inch touch screen colour...
OK this is the last set of pictures until its settled in then i'll be attempting to take some better shots once its all cleared up and hopefully grown in a little (need to remember this isn't a journal just pictures :) )

I'll be moving in my random fish collection its mainly the larger fish that don't live in my breeding tanks but I can't bring myself to get rid of. most have been inherited from others.
1x Torpedo Barb
1x Silver Shark
1x Red Tail Shark
1x Albino BN Male...
nobody had any swords in when I was ordering the plants will check again in a couple of weeks before I put fish in as I'll be doing a big water change before the fish go in so the additional plant can go in then
