There are never "random" deaths, there is always a cause! If the shrimp are dropping off one by one it is usually (but not always) either a bacterial infection or a moulting issue. You need to determine which issue before you can address it, although both of these can be caused by high nitrates.

For those of you that know me you will know that i just don't scape tanks. My passion are shrimp and my idea of a scape it a bit of flame moss on some wood :eh: I have built up a fairly decent collection of moss and decided to do a moss scape :shock: I bought a new tank, filter lighting etc...

Not even Blue Tigers breed true. You can see pics of the Blue Jelly here:http://blog.sina.com.cn/s/blog_6b4fea280100s9re.html These don't breed true either, maybe 3 or 4 from each batch. I keep Blue Jelly and Incredible Hulk in a tank together and just remove the babies that don't pull rank...

If you knew how much they cost me you wouldn't be so interested ;) Besides, i don't sell them, i hoard them :lol: They are not as easy to keep as normal CRS, only about a 60-70% survival rate of young, plus not all babies born are of solid colour. From each batch of babies only 2 or 3 shrimp...

What filter do you have on this tank? Is there any chance you could of had an ammonia spike?
