    Poly Filter Brand

Used it over the years for removing copper after treatment, mainly in marine tanks. Always keep one in my emergency spares box. You never know!!!!!!!!!

    Lighting for a TMC signature 60 (60x45x30)

I have the 1500 with controller, mounted using the TMC brackets on the same tank as yours. It operates between 40 and 75% and the light spread works well for me. Had no issues with noise.

    urgent hydor Heater Question

Boil a tank of healthy fish, certainly helps you focus on what heater not to buy. Particularly if you have had the same make with problems previously. The higher the wattage, the smaller the tank, and it happens so quickly. I agree with others a additional thermostat is a good way to go.

Fluval Edge Shrimp Tank - A few questions

Some shrimps are more CO2 tolerant than others. However, I personally would not use CO2 or liquid carbon in a 'low tech planted tank with shrimps in mind" containing only 23 ltr. Some people are successful with it. But for me the risk outways the benefits. Moss with shrimps works well.

    Polystyrene Base Nightmare

Oh dear. Ive been in similar situations over the years. And have never proceeded to fill the aquarium until the cabinet, and cushioning material match, or exceed the tank base. From my early days with angle iron stands i have always considered support at the edges Essential.

    CRS shrimp requirements

I have had CRS in my high and low tech tanks. There is no doubt in my mind were the shrimps flourish best. Breed well, and produce high numbers of shrimplets. My aim has always been to create the best possible conditions for these amazing little creatures. There needs always come first.

Hydor 200 eth inline heater problem

Speaking from personal experience, not to be recommended. Incidentally probably had 50+ traditional heaters over the years, and only one failed. Two inline, and two failures. If only i could afford more Thermofilters.

    What is killing my shrimps?

For me the most helpful piece of kit i own as a shrimp/soft water user is a TDS pen. Spend what you can afford, mine cost about £10. Use it for all water that goes in or out of the tank. Hope your problems are solved.

    Shrimp and Water Changes

Water changes for me, are an essential part of having aquariums. All my aquariums , including the shrimps. have weekly water changes. A mimimum of 20%. My 3 shrimp breeding tanks with with blue bolts, and crs are treated no differently. Never had any losses, and even very small shrimplets...

CRS setup. Is there anything I have forgotten?

Looking good, exciting times ahead.. The leaves take a few weeks to really soften, however the shrimps still crawl over them, picking off things we cannot see. I use them all the time, but increase quantity before holidays, and when breeding activity starts. Generally, but not always i...

CRS setup. Is there anything I have forgotten?

Hi jim. I have sourced my CRS and Taiwan bees from our two sponsors , Sharnbrook and Freshwater. Both first class, and great for help and support. What you suggest seems fine, at the end of the day. Its a personal choice, usually based on what you want out the hobby, and taking into account...
