Haha, it's so tempting to alter things. I think I need about a dosen tanks so I can constantly be rescaping. I'm hoping this scape is going to come along well, as I've now got some decent plants and I think the ferts and liquid carbon are working well.

Hi, I've been thinking of putting some root tabs in my planted nano, and have come across the idea of using guinea pig poo instead. As I have 2 guinea pigs I was wondering if anyone has ever tried this, and if there are any problems it can cause? Cheers, Ben

Hi, I was wondering if it's ok to use more than the recommended dose of easycarbo? I am dosing EI ferts in my 40l shrimp nano, with 18W of lighting. Would upping the dose increase the growth rate, or could it kill the shrimp? Cheers, Ben

I shoot a precharged pneumatic, which is powered by compressed air rather than a spring, so has no recoil. So you can see the pellet hit the fly as the scope doesn't go out of focus as you fire.

No I just shot it in the tank... Seriously though, I just caught it in an ice cream tub, put the tub on the floor outside and shot it. It took seconds, and there's no need to take it out of the water to hit it with a brick.

I usually opt for the brick method, although I have shot a couple with an air rifle. (Shooting them does sound slightly psychotic, but I thought it may be a less stressful death, and it was done purely out of compassion for the fish).
