Hi All , my 60l superfish high energy tank is coming to nearly 5 months old now and it's doing ok. My main question is that biofilm on the wood keeps coming back , everywhere i have read is that it will go away in a few weeks to a month but it's been 5 months since planting plus 2 months in the water before planting. One month dark start another month in a bucket

I scape it off almost weekly and it comes back .

Anyone had similar experience?
 
Let it grow, it should stabilize itself eventually. It is also a great food for Otos, if you had any... Besides, if you disrupt whatever is happening and then place the wood in the same conditions, then odds are it'll always start again.
 
hi my tank is 2 weeks and the white fungus cotton candy stuff is nearly gone, i used a feeding pipet to suck most of it up (took only 10 mins) and my 4 otos are doing a real job on it. otos love bio film too
 
Thanks guys , i have 4 ottos some ammanos and cherries, i have not seen a single one of them touch the stuff
 
I am not actually sure looks like biofilm
