Leaking tank = new set up

Hi folks. Today, I took a tough decision and took all my fishes back to the aquatics shop. Yesterday, my 10 year old, 4' tank started leaking. I knew I'd get myself into a tiz, worrying about keeping my fish safe until the tank was mended so it was bye bye to my clown loaches, BGK fish and a few small fry.

I'm undecided as to what to do with the tank, other than have it planted nicely with a proper plant substrate. I only had sand before and not much survived, other than Java fern

I'm tempted to go for an ambient water temp but am willing to take advice as to whether this may be a bad idea. I won't be filling it with goldfish!

I look forward to picking your brains,

Nicky
