Cultivating Hydrocotyle and some tank shots

A wee experiment, very modest by most UKAPS standards, cultivating some hydrocotyle from seeds purchased from China, via eBay. They looked suspicious, as they were like green plastic beads, but I suppose they were in some kind of protective substance. And they have germinated. Arthur's Seat, Edinburgh in the background, not for scale. Also a snap of the small tank; a snap of the Apisto Inca which I am always wondering, is it a boy or a girl (?). It's always being chased into a corner by the definite male. Happy shrimps at the sweet potato, and an alder cone tint in the main tank, which has some new tucano tetra, perhaps nine, perhaps less now, hard to say as some are very shy. But they are feeding well. That tank is Cory's and the 2 Apisto, 3 otos that hide at the back, and 2 embers which wouldn't leave with the others. They gently chase the tucanos. The juncus to the left is relatively new, and there are some young plants from rareaquaplants, who sold me a lovely selection of "easy" stems on eBay. Sorry for the quality of the phone pics. If anyone has any tips on the hydrocotyle or wants to sex the Inka please holler.

Hi all,
If anyone has any tips on the hydrocotyle
cultivating some hydrocotyle from seeds purchased from China, via eBay.
Alas people haven't had a very good record with <"seeds from China" > some <"have germinated">, but none have ended up being <"what they purported to be">.
a snap of the Apisto Inca which I am always wondering, is it a boy or a girl (?). It's always being chased into a corner by the definite male.
I'm pretty sure he is a "sleeper male", because of the blue colouration.

cheers Darrel

Thanks DW. So, let's see what the hydrocotyle turns out to be, and stop expecting any breeding action in terms of the apistos. It's a long shot, but WLTM someone in Scotland with two Female Apisto Inka willing to swop. These came as a pair from a shop near Cambridge, which is a little too far to return.
