Hello. Need your help with my HC it becomes brown/yellow. Aqua one tank 40 with aqua one planglo led light from 3 pm till 10pm.I'm using EI from apf shop. Ei dosing mon-sat. Soil deponitmix professional 9in1. Water changes every sun. Found information that need more iron. Any suggestions.

What CO2 or liquid carbon are you dosing? HC needs good CO2, possibly more than it needs strong light.

Where is your drop checker? The concentration of CO2 can vary greatly from one place in the tank to another. I'd recommend temporarily moving your drop checker as close as possible to the HC, low to the substrate, and give it a day to adjust. Then see what colour it is to assess how much of your CO2 is reaching the HC.
